The Northwoods Surgery Center will offer a health screening event from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22 at its location, 502 North 6^th Avenue West, Virginia. The event is free and open to the public.

Health screenings will include bone density, body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, blood typing, and eye tests.

On-hand for casual conversations will be ophthalmologist Dr. Bridget Sundell, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Paul Denoncourt, podiatrist Dr. Katie Evans, and Marella Jones, pain management specialist/diagnostic imaging technologist.

Flu shots will also be offered for $20.

The Northwoods Surgery Center is a joint venture between Fairview Range in Hibbing and Dr. Bridget Sundell of Virginia. The facility, which opened in August, focuses on providing same-day surgical care in multiple specialties, including ophthalmology, orthopedics, ear/nose/ throat, and general surgery.
